SoundMint Refund Policy
Effective Date: July 10, 2026 Operator: Bradley Jackson, a sole proprietor doing business as SoundMint ("SoundMint," "we," "us," or "our"). Applies to: All purchases made through https://soundmint.com and related SoundMint services.
1. Introduction
1.1. This Refund Policy (the "Policy") explains when and how refunds are available for purchases made through SoundMint. It is incorporated by reference into the SoundMint Terms of Service (the "Terms"). Capitalized terms not defined here have the meaning given in the Terms.
1.2. Merchant of record. For sales processed in fiat currency, SoundMint acts as the merchant of record. This means you purchase from SoundMint; SoundMint collects payment, retains a platform fee, transfers the remainder to the creator whose content you purchased, and administers refunds and payment disputes. Creators sell through the SoundMint platform but do not process your payment directly.
1.3. Operator status. SoundMint is currently operated by Bradley Jackson as a sole proprietor. We may assign this Policy and our rights and obligations under it to a successor entity (for example, upon formation of a company) without further notice, and this Policy will continue to apply to that successor.
1.4. Please read before you buy. By completing a purchase, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to this Policy, including the default rule that all sales are final once a digital good is delivered, as described in Section 4.
2. Definitions
2.1. "Digital Good" means any digital product sold through SoundMint that is delivered electronically, including without limitation Vault fan subscriptions, sound packs, and beat licenses.
2.2. "Delivery" means the point at which a Digital Good is made available to you, as described in Section 5 (for example, when a download or streaming link becomes accessible, when a license is issued, or when subscription access is activated).
2.3. "Receipt" means the electronic order confirmation or receipt we issue to you for a purchase.
2.4. "Subscription" means a recurring, automatically renewing purchase, such as a Vault fan subscription.
2.5. "Onchain Purchase" means a blockchain-settled purchase of a Collector Token, Ownership Token, or other onchain asset, typically paid in USDC. Onchain Purchases are governed by Section 10.
2.6. "Platform Fee" means the fee SoundMint retains on a sale (currently five percent (5%) of the sale price), with the remainder transferred to the creator.
2.7. "Creator Transfer" means the portion of a sale price that SoundMint transfers to the selling creator's connected payment account.
2.8. "Early Fraud Warning" means a pre-dispute fraud signal reported to us by our payment processor or a card network indicating that a payment card may have been used without authorization.
3. Scope
3.1. This Policy applies to purchases of Digital Goods for which SoundMint is the merchant of record, processed through our fiat payment processor.
3.2. Onchain Purchases are addressed separately in Section 10 because blockchain transactions settle irreversibly and cannot be unwound in the same way as card payments.
3.3. This Policy governs the buyer-facing refund relationship. The allocation of financial responsibility for refunds, chargebacks, and related costs between SoundMint and creators is governed by the Terms and the SoundMint Seller Agreement, not by this Policy.
4. Default Rule — All Sales Are Final After Delivery
4.1. No refunds after Delivery. Except as expressly stated in this Policy, all sales of Digital Goods are final and non-refundable once the Digital Good has been Delivered and a Receipt has been issued.
4.2. Why. Digital Goods are delivered instantly and electronically. Unlike a physical product, a Digital Good cannot be returned, "un-downloaded," or restored to inventory once it has been accessed, downloaded, or streamed, and a delivered file or license can be retained or copied. Because the value of the Digital Good is transferred to you at the moment of Delivery, we do not offer refunds after that point except in the limited, discretionary circumstances described below.
4.3. This is a disclosed condition of sale. This no-refund-after-Delivery rule is disclosed to you before purchase and forms part of the agreement you enter into when you buy a Digital Good.
4.4. No effect on non-waivable rights. Nothing in this Policy limits any refund or cancellation right you may have that cannot be waived under applicable law. Where such a mandatory right applies, it controls over this Section 4 to the extent of any conflict. International buyers should also review Section 13.
5. When a Digital Good Is "Delivered"
5.1. A Digital Good is considered Delivered at the earliest of:
(a) for a download, when the download link or file first becomes accessible to you or a download first begins;
(b) for streamed or in-platform content, when access is first enabled on your account;
(c) for a license (such as a beat license), when the license is issued or the licensed file is first made accessible; and
(d) for a Subscription, when access to the subscribed content or benefits is first activated for the then-current billing period.
5.2. We may record and rely on delivery, access, and download events as evidence of Delivery.
6. Discretionary Goodwill Refunds
6.1. We may, at our sole discretion, issue a goodwill refund in circumstances including:
(a) Pre-download / pre-access. You request a refund before the Digital Good has been downloaded, accessed, or otherwise Delivered under Section 5.
(b) Duplicate purchase. You were charged more than once for the same Digital Good, or you accidentally purchased the same item twice.
(c) Accidental purchase. You demonstrate, to our reasonable satisfaction, that a purchase was made in obvious error, promptly reported.
(d) Other cases we determine, in our discretion, warrant a goodwill refund.
6.2. Discretion, not entitlement. Goodwill refunds are provided as a courtesy. Nothing in this Section 6 creates an obligation to issue a refund, and our decision to grant a refund in one case does not require us to do so in any other. Granting a goodwill refund is not a waiver of Section 4.
6.3. Creator-initiated refunds. A creator may request that we issue a refund to a buyer for that creator's sale. Any such refund is processed by SoundMint as merchant of record under Section 9.
7. Automatic Refunds on Fraud Warnings
7.1. Fraud-warning refunds. If we receive an Early Fraud Warning associated with your payment, we may automatically refund the charge and reverse the transaction without a request from you, in order to protect cardholders and reduce fraud. This may result in loss of access to any Digital Good associated with that charge.
7.2. Anti-fraud measures. We may decline, hold, review, or reverse transactions we reasonably believe to be fraudulent, unauthorized, or in violation of the Terms, and may suspend related access pending review.
8. Subscriptions — Cancellation, Auto-Renewal, and No Pro-Ration
8.1. Auto-renewal disclosure. Subscriptions (such as Vault fan subscriptions) renew automatically at the end of each billing period and your payment method is charged the then-current price for the next period until you cancel. At sign-up we disclose the subscription price, the billing frequency (for example, monthly or annual), and that the subscription renews automatically until cancelled. Where we offer a free trial or introductory price, we disclose the price you will be charged when the trial or introductory period ends and how that charge will be made.
8.2. How to cancel. You may cancel a Subscription at any time through your account settings on SoundMint, using a cancellation method at least as easy to use as the method you used to subscribe. Cancellation stops future renewals; it does not retroactively refund amounts already charged.
8.3. Access runs to the end of the paid period. When you cancel, your access continues until the end of the billing period you have already paid for. Your Subscription then ends and will not renew.
8.4. No pro-ration; no partial-period refunds. Subscription fees are not refundable in whole or in part for the period in which you cancel. We do not pro-rate charges or issue partial refunds for unused days remaining in a billing period. You keep access for the remainder of that period instead.
8.5. Failed renewal payments. If a renewal payment fails, we may suspend or downgrade access until payment succeeds, or treat the Subscription as cancelled, consistent with the Terms.
8.6. Compliance note. We intend to administer Subscriptions consistent with applicable automatic-renewal and consumer-protection laws, including express-consent, disclosure, and easy-cancellation requirements.
9. How Refunds Are Processed (Fee and Creator Transfer)
9.1. Where the money comes back from. When we issue a refund as merchant of record, we refund your original payment method.
9.2. Full refunds. On a full refund, we return the entire amount you paid, including SoundMint's Platform Fee, and we correspondingly reverse the Creator Transfer so that the creator's share is clawed back to fund the refund. You are not charged SoundMint's Platform Fee on a fully refunded purchase.
9.3. Partial refunds. On a partial refund, we refund the applicable portion of your payment and reverse the corresponding portion of the Platform Fee and Creator Transfer on a proportional basis.
9.4. Timing. Refunds are initiated promptly once approved. The time for a refund to appear on your statement depends on your bank or card issuer and is outside our control.
9.5. Taxes. Where sales tax, VAT, or similar tax was collected on a refunded purchase, the tax is refunded together with the refunded amount to the extent required by law.
9.6. Creator responsibility is internal. As between SoundMint and the creator, the creator is responsible for refunds on their sales under the Seller Agreement. This does not change your refund rights under this Policy, and you do not need to seek a refund from the creator directly.
10. Onchain Purchases (USDC / Tokens)
10.1. Blockchain finality. Onchain Purchases (for example, Collector Tokens and Ownership Tokens paid in USDC) settle on a public blockchain and are irreversible. Once a blockchain transaction is confirmed, it cannot be recalled, reversed, or refunded by SoundMint.
10.2. All sales final. Onchain Purchases are final and non-refundable. The discretionary goodwill refunds in Section 6 and the fiat refund mechanics in Section 9 do not apply to Onchain Purchases, because blockchain transactions cannot be unwound in the same manner as card payments.
10.3. Wallet and network responsibility. You are responsible for using the correct wallet, network, and asset, and for network (gas) and exchange costs. SoundMint is not responsible for losses caused by user error, wallet compromise, failed or stuck transactions, or blockchain network conditions.
10.4. Separate terms. Onchain Purchases are additionally governed by the applicable token terms and the Terms.
11. How to Request a Refund
11.1. Contact us. To request a refund, email hello@soundmint.com from the email address associated with your account and include:
(a) your account email;
(b) the order or Receipt number;
(c) the name of the Digital Good; and
(d) the reason for your request.
11.2. Timing. Please submit goodwill-refund requests promptly, and in any event within fourteen (14) days of purchase. Requests made after that period, or after a Digital Good has been Delivered, may be declined under Section 4.
11.3. Scope of the 14-day window. The fourteen-day window in Section 11.2 applies only to buyer goodwill-refund requests made to SoundMint under Section 6. It does not create a right to a refund, and it does not limit: (a) any payment-dispute or chargeback timeline available through your bank or card network, which is governed by their rules (Section 12); (b) refunds SoundMint issues on its own initiative (for example, fraud-warning refunds under Section 7 or refunds connected to a rights complaint under Section 14); or (c) SoundMint's rights and remedies against creators under the Seller Agreement — a creator's responsibility for refunds, chargebacks, reversals, and related costs on their sales is not limited by this window and continues for as long as the Seller Agreement provides.
11.4. Review. We review requests and respond within a reasonable time. We may ask for additional information to verify your identity and the purchase, and to evaluate duplicate, accidental, or pre-download claims.
12. Payment Disputes and Chargebacks
12.1. Contact us first. If you believe you were charged in error or are unhappy with a purchase, please contact us at hello@soundmint.com before initiating a chargeback or payment dispute with your bank or card issuer. We can very often resolve issues faster and more directly than the dispute process, including by issuing a goodwill refund where appropriate.
12.2. Your dispute rights are not waived. Nothing in this Policy limits any right you have to dispute a charge with your bank or card network. This Section is a request that you contact us first, not a condition on or waiver of that right.
12.3. Disclosed no-refund terms may be presented in a dispute. Because this Policy and your consent to it form part of your purchase, we may present them, together with delivery and access records, as evidence in a payment dispute.
12.4. Illegitimate chargebacks. Filing a chargeback for a purchase you in fact made and received, without first contacting us, may be treated as a breach of the Terms and may result in suspension or termination of your account and loss of access to purchased content.
13. International Buyers
13.1. United States only. SoundMint currently offers paid purchases only to buyers located in, and with billing addresses in, the United States. The remainder of this Section addresses future cross-border sales and applies only if and when SoundMint expands internationally.
13.2. EU/UK statutory withdrawal right and digital-content waiver. Consumers in the European Union and the United Kingdom generally have a statutory right to withdraw from a distance contract within 14 days. For digital content that is not supplied on a tangible medium, that right can be waived where, before delivery begins, the consumer (a) gives express prior consent to immediate performance (i.e., to begin download or access before the withdrawal period ends) and (b) acknowledges that they will lose the right to withdraw once performance begins. Where SoundMint sells to EU/UK consumers, we will present this consent and acknowledgment at checkout and capture it, so that instantly Delivered Digital Goods become non-refundable consistent with Section 4.
13.3. Other jurisdictions. Consumer-protection and refund laws vary by country. Where mandatory local law grants you a refund or cancellation right that cannot be waived, that right applies notwithstanding Section 4.
13.4. Tax and scope. Cross-border sales may trigger VAT/GST and other obligations.
14. Creator Responsibility and Rights Complaints
14.1. Sold-you-something-they-didn't-own claims. If you believe content you purchased infringes someone's rights or was sold without authorization, contact us at hello@soundmint.com. Copyright complaints are handled under our DMCA / Copyright Policy. Availability of a refund in these circumstances is at our discretion under Section 6 and does not limit any other remedy you may have.
14.2. Creator liability is between SoundMint and the creator. As stated in Section 9.6, the creator's responsibility for refunds and related costs is governed by the Seller Agreement and does not change your rights under this Policy.
15. Changes to This Policy
15.1. We may update this Policy from time to time. The version in effect at the time of your purchase governs that purchase. Material changes will be posted at https://soundmint.com with an updated Effective Date, and, for Subscriptions, applied on a going-forward basis to renewals after the change takes effect.
